If You Are An Interested Individual

• Write a letter to the Texas Attorney General, Greg Abbott, whose office is in charge of defending the conduct of police and prosecutors in this case.

• Spread the word. Talk to your local civic club or church group. Email your thoughts about this case to your friends. Tell people to take a look at the evidence available at this Web site, InnocentInTexas.com, and make up their own mind about the prosecution of Alberto and Jesus.

• Attend the hearing Aug. 2 in Littlefield. A press event will be held before the hearing gets started. We need to make the system sensitive to the concerns of its citizens by having a large and representative crowd in the courtroom.

If You Belong To An Organization

• Write a letter on your group's letterhead protesting the continued imprisonment of Alberto and Jesus. An example of a letter is available here for download (in MS Word format). Borrow from it to create a message for Mr. Abbott's office that represents the feelings of your organization.

• Submit a letter to the editor of your local newspaper. Make your feelings known as a group.
