AFFIDAVIT OF MARIANA CASAS ENRIQUEZ

1. My legal name is Mary Ann Casas Enriquez. I am more than eighteen (18) years of
age, of sound mind, and am wholly competent to sign this Affidavit. I have
personal knowledge of the facts stated in this Affidavit, and they are true and
   correct.
2. Although my legal name is Mary Ann, I prefer to be called by the name Mariana,
and people know me as Mariana.
3. In 1996, I dated Jerry Ramirez Gonzales. I also knew his brother, Armando
Ramirez Gonzales, but I did not know him very well. I have recently reviewed
photographs and have identified Jerry Ramirez Gonzales as the man that I dated
and Armando Gonzales as Jerry's brother.
4. At around 2:00 a.m. on the night of the murder at the Jolly Roger convenience
store in Littlefield, Texas, Jerry and Armando Gonzales came to my sister, Lora
Casas's, apartment in Littlefield, Texas. My sister's apartment was less than
a half of a mile from the Jolly Roger convenience store, on the same street as
the store. The apartments were called XIT Apartments, and they are located at the
corner of 13th Street and Hall Street. I was at my sister's apartment, along
with my cousin, Tina Martinez, hanging out when Jerry and Armando Gonzales arrived.
5. Jerry Gonzales told us that he and Armando did not have enough gas to get back to
Levelland. They asked us to loan them some money for gas.
6. While they were at my sister's apartment, I could see that they were both wearing
jeans, t-shirts, and tennis shoes. Jerry had long hair, and Armando's hair was
cut short. I could also see that Jerry and Armando were driving a gold car with
   four doors.
7. My sister, Lora, argued with Jerry and Armando about loaning them any money, and
she cursed them out. We did not give them any money. When we refused to give them
money, Jerry and Armando left the apartment.
8. The next day I learned from the news that a woman working at the Jolly Roger
convenience store had been shot and killed during a robbery.
9. I am sure that Jerry and Armando Gonzales stopped by my sister's apartment in
Littlefield on the night of the murder. I am also sure that it was around 2:00
a.m. when they arrived and tried to borrow money to buy gas.

FURTHER, Affiant sayeth not.
