ALBERTO SIFUENTES § LAMB COUNTY, TEXAS
AFFIDAVIT OF GREG PARROTT
STATE OF TEXAS §
COUNTY OF LUUBOCK §
My name is GREG PARROTT. I am above the age of eighteen (18) years, of sound mind,
and am competent to make this affidavit. The following facts contained in this
affidavit are true and correct to the best of my recollection.
From 1996 until 1998 I was employed as a special agent for the Attorney General's
office of the State of Texas. In that position, I assisted with the investigation
and trials of Jesus Ramirez and Alberto Sifuentes.
I am providing this affidavit in response to Contested Issue #3 in an Order on
Contested Facts and Discovery issued by Judge Felix Klein on December 7, 2004.
WHO REVIEWED THE TOWN & COUNTRY TAPES
I reviewed the Town & Country video tapes as well as other convenience store tapes
in the Lamb County & District Attorney's office.
WHEN DID THEY REVIEW THE TAPES
I reviewed the tapes sometime prior to the trial of Jesus Ramirez, in 1997. I did
not view the tapes in one sitting, rather I reviewed sections of the tapes whenever
I had the opportunity.
WHEN DID PERSONS BECOME AWARE THAT BRENDA AYALA WAS IN THE
TOWN & COUNTRY
I became aware that Brenda Ayala was in the Town & Country video surveillance,
during the trial of Alberto Sifuentes. I believe that Vince Gonzales became aware
that Brenda Ayala was in the Town & Country video surveillance prior to the trial
of Alberto Sifuentes.
WHEN DID THEY DETERMINE THE TIME BRENDA AYALA WAS IN THE TOWN
& COUNTRY
I believe that Vince Gonzalez established the time when Brenda Ayala was in that
surveillance.
WHAT TIME WAS SHE IN THE TOWN & COUNTRY AND HOW WAS THE TIME ESTABLISHED
I believe that Vince Gonzales established the time as somewhere around 12:30 a.m.
on August 6, 1996. I believe he used the internet to determine when the sunset
occurred on August 5, 1996, and applied those findings to the video surveillance.
WHEN WERE THE TAPES MADE AVAILABLE TO THE DEFENSE
The video tapes of the various convenience stores were in the outer office of the
Lamb County & District Attorney's office. They were available for viewing by the
defense at any time during office hours.
FURTHER, Affiant sayeth not.
